Occupational First Aid Refresher (FETAC)
Candidate Requirement: Person must have a valid FETAC Certificate in Occupational First Aid.
Course Objectives: To recertify participants as Occupational First Aiders to the Satisfaction of the Health and Safety Authority and the 2007 General Application Regulations. All instructors and examiners are registered with the National Ambulance Training Board.
Course Content:
- Assessment of Accident Scenes
- Signs, Symptoms and Treatment of a Casualty with Suspected Spinal Injury
- Treatment of Shock
- Control of Bleeding
- Refresher in Adult CPR and recovery position
- Treatment of Burns
- Revision for First Aid Examination
- First Aid Examination
