Experienced Operators Programme for Scaffolding Advanced

A FÁS Certified Course

Candidate Requirement:

Candidates must have a minimum of twelve months full time experience as a Basic Scaffolder. (Documentary evidence will be required from the employer to support the candidates claim of the required experience).Candidates must have Junior Certificate or equivalent, good communication skills, good spatial and form perception. Ability to work at heights and to cope both physically and mentally, while working at heights.
Candidates must also possess the FÁS Safe Pass Registration Card.
Candidates must be over 18 Years of Age.

Course Objective:

To provide an opportunity for participants to become competent in applying the skills,knowledge and attitudes to enable them to safely erect and dismantle a range of Scaffolding systems in tube and fitting.

Course Content:

  • Statutory Regulations
  • Erection and dismantling of the following scaffolds in Tube & Fitting
  • A static or mobile tower
  • Independent scaffold with one return, loading bay, ladder beam and protective fan
  • Truss-out scaffold
  • Roof stack scaffold with access tower
  • Drop down scaffold off steelwork
Certification: A FETAC National Certificate and CSCS card, which is valid for 5 years, will be awarded to each successful participant on this course
