Course Benefits:
- Participants will understand how fire can occur and the means by which fire can spread.
- Be able to advise members of staff on measures that can be taken to prevent fire occurring or minimise the spread of fire.
- Effectively use available fire fighting equipment.
Course Objective:
Raise the standard of safety awareness in the Construction Industry Ensure that all site personnel undergo basic health and safety awareness training with the view to making a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents and avoidance of health hazards Maintain a register of personnel who have received such training
Candidate Requirement:
The Fire Warden course is aimed to anyone who wishes to be a Fire Warden and learn Fire Safety in the Workplace.
Course Content:
- The role and expected duties of the Fire Warden.
- Professional DVD presentations.
- Walkabout in the building to establish and identify means of escape, as well as potential hazards (if requested).
- Discussion of individual Fire Warden’s responsibilities if required.
- An Evacuation Drill to simulate an Emergency Evacuation of the building utilising
- A debriefing session to review, make observations and offer advice on all aspects of the Evacuation Drill.
