Fall Arrest Equipment

Duration: One Day for Experienced Operators
No. Of Participants: 10 per course
Certification: A C & M Safety Ltd Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to each successful participant on this course.

Candidate Requirement:

Anyone who is engaged in and has experience in working at heights

Course Objective:

• To ensure that all practicable steps are taken to make working at heights safe
• To understand the causes of falls from heights
• To know the precautions, which should be taken to prevent falls

Course Content:

• Course Assembly and introductions
• Why is fall arrest equipment needed?
• Legislation when working at heights, including the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006
• Prevention of falls - including risk assessment

The use of harnesses – to include selection of harness and:

• Who should wear safety harness
• What type should be worn by scaffolders
• When should scaffolders be clipped on
• How the use of harness affects working methods
• Practical use of Harness
