Fall Arrest Equipment
Duration: One Day for Experienced Operators
No. Of Participants: 10 per course
Certification: A C & M Safety Ltd Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to each successful participant on this course.
Candidate Requirement:
Anyone who is engaged in and has experience in working at heights
Course Objective:
- To ensure that all practicable steps are taken to make working at heights safe
- To understand the causes of falls from heights
- To know the precautions, which should be taken to prevent falls
Course Content:
- Course Assembly and introductions
- Why is fall arrest equipment needed?
- Legislation when working at heights, including the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006
- Prevention of falls - including risk assessment
The use of harnesses – to include selection of harness and:
- Who should wear safety harness
- What type should be worn by scaffolders
- When should scaffolders be clipped on
- How the use of harness affects working methods
- Practical use of Harness
