Conflict Management for Security Personnel FETAC Level 6
Duration: The course lasts for 4 days, which comprises of a minimum of 110 learning hours, of which 32 are tutor led.

Certification: A FETAC Level 6 Certificate will be awarded to each successful participant on this programme.
Course Objective:
The programme exploits difficulties in dealing with groups and individuals under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The programme is delivered through a series of role plays and scenarios. At the end of the programme the learner will be able to:
Understand what conflict is.
Identify their personal reaction to conflict
Critically assess the impact of their personal style of conflict management.
Demonstrate an awareness of the link between their personal style of management conflict and managing conflict in their organisation.
Candidate Requirement:
Learners must have at least three years experience working in the community or voluntary sector and have had training in conflict management or relevant work experience.

Assessment:
This course is assessed through Assignments based on topics covered in the course and a Project (which entails completing a case study on a conflict management situation). Students are also expected to complete a personal Learner Journal. All work submitted must be your own work. There is no exam with this course. As part of our quality assurance, student assessment work will be marked by an Internal Assessor, validated by a Verifier with an independent FETAC External Authenticator to complete the process.
